London - 'The City of Dreams'

London is a beautiful city whose streets are living testaments of history and dedication, and it has become a city that has stolen the hearts of many. In combination with its culture, history, and beauty, it is no wonder why it is nick-named the City of Dreams, a place where people go to and leave as different people. This short guide will show you all the best spots in London, from the best food to the hidden gems of shops.

Why this guide?

In this guide, I have focused on places that are easy to reach, great for first-time visitors or seasoned tourists, and are special enough and memorable to return to. London is a wonderful, beautiful city, but it has the opportunity to be overwhelming at where to start. This guide is ideal because it gives the best advice without being too much information.

London has many small pasteires all around, all which have many options. My personal favorite were the macaroons at Harrod’s Roastery and Bake Shop, located in downton London.

Despite being in London, dinner doesn’t have to be overly expensive! Spaghetti House in central London had many options, perfect for everyone at affordable prices.

When in London, fish and chips is mandatory. Places that sell strictly fish and chips are called chippys. The best chippy I went to was the Golden Union, a hole in the wall that had the most authentic, flavorful fish and chips.

Places to Be

London offers a vast amount of thrift/antique stores, department stores, and one’s basic tourist shops. Personally, my favorite clothing store was Primark. Downtown London also has many thrift opportunities, make sure to check out the options while walking around!

Bus Tours

If seeing the majority of London is your goal, I would highly recommend a bus tour! I was able to see so many historical sights and attractions. Take a double-decker bus to get the true European experience.

Historical Sites

London is filled with history and majesty, so the historic sites there are a must. Sites like Big Ben absolutely blew me away, along with the other sites there.

National Gems

London is a beautiful mix of history, culture, and current history being made. Seeing Buckingham palace, the crown jewels, and all of the current statues helps bind us and remember the past.
